ADJUSTMENT: The lateral supports can be adjusted up/down the steel frame to suit people of different heights.
METHOD OF USE: Comprises a steel frame with padded lateral supports; webbing straps come from the lateral supports and clip together with another webbing strap from between the legs which prevents the person's pelvis from sliding forward. The lateral support on the left hand side swings away for ease of transferring the person. Both laterals are pulled tight to provide firm upper trunk support by adjusting the length of webbing straps then fastening the three way buckle at the person's waist level.
INSTALLATION: Attaches to the backrest of the car seat by a leather attachment which fits between the headrest and backrest, then two adjustable webbing straps wrap around the backrest.
POINTS TO CONSIDER: A doctor`s letter is required when using this device. The letter needs to state that the user is exempt on medical grounds from using a standard seatbelt. The letter must accompany the user at all times as it applies to all travel in a vehicle.
Options
A sheepskin sleeve is available to pad the strap which is fastened between the legs.
A seat belt height adjuster is available to match the height of the seat belt and lateral supports when required.
