METHOD OF USE:
Kurzweil 1000 requires printed documents to be scanned into the system software where recognition and speech output is produced. Text being read can also be displayed upon a monitor and visually tracked with a highlight option. User control is enabled via the number pad on an existing standard keyboard or on a separate 17-key keypad. Kurzweil 1000 is available as software only or as a complete computer system (Omni 1000 Edition) with or without monitor.

VOICES:
Has a number of 'natural' sounding voices that can be modified to suit the user's preferences.
