Extra product information
MATERIALS: The pruners have carbon steel blades with a non stick coating. The handles are made from moulded plastic.
HANDLE/S: The handles are straight and close together, so they do not require a large hand span.
OPERATION: A squeeze and release style of operation is used. The ratchet system provides mechanical advantage in the cutting action. A consistent amount of pressure is used in each squeeze of the handles, and the ratchet catches so that the amount of cut through the plant is not lost upon release of pressure. Successive squeezes are used until the plant material is cut through. This overcomes the need to use a single, but sustained strong squeezing action, as with regular pruners. This tool is suitable for left or right handed use.
APPLICATION: These pruners are suitable for cutting plant material up to 20mm in thickness.
