Bed Switch Mounts consist of a metal plate that is designed to slip under a mattress and an adjustable mounting arm designed to hold a switch. The Bed Switch Mount can be supplied with various switch mounts. The mount is also available in a model that has two mounting arms, designed to attach a switch to one and an environmental control unit or lightweight speech generating device to the other. The stem of the device can be adjusted by black screw knobs located on the arms of the mount.
A switch can be attached to the stem using a clamp. The clamp is adjustable via a twisting knob.
The mount attaches to the bed via a large metal plate which can be slipped under the mattress of the bed. It is held in place by the user's weight.
To install the mount, slip the metal plate under the mattress of the bed, adjust the switch location and tighten the clamp.
