General Details
Caution
Careful consideration needs to be taken when choosing a bed rail or bed stick. They may increase the risk of injury to the occupant in several ways. Entrapment of limbs or body parts may occur within the rails, or between the rails or stick and the bed. This may happen to those having a seizure, rolling over in bed or if unstable while transferring out of bed. Injury may also occur by an occupant falling onto a bed stick.
Extra product information
Method of use: Frame is secured in place under the mattress using three colour coded straps. The two legs of the grab rail rest upon the floor. The mattress does not have to be lifted off to install it, if the strap can be pushed with the arm as far as possible under the mattress and then the strap is pulled through from the other side of the bed.
Installation
It is recommended to check regularly that the bed pole is always positioned as close to the mattress edge as possible.
It should not be used in circumstances where there is a gap between the bed stick and the mattress, or potential gap if the device or mattress moves due to possible risk of entrapment.
Incorrect positioning of the bedrail can lead to injury.
