Caution

The side elevations may impact on the ability of the user to transfer or mobilise in bed, especially if the Bed Side Bumpers are fitted too low in the bed.

The Bed Side Bumpers are covered with a breathable waterproof cover that can be removed for hand or machine washing.
After fitting the wedges the bed is made as normal with the sheets and blankets placed over the wedges.
Attachment straps can be hook and loop or ties.
The width of nylon sheet can be customised to suit the width of the bed.
The length of the bumpers may be customised to suit individual needs.

Options

A top cover is also available. This restricts the user's ability to get in and out of bed.

Method of Use

Place the bumpers on the bed at the level between the user's arms and hips. The four webbing straps should be correctly wrapped around the bed side frame rail and then fastened together.

To get into bed, the user sits on the side of the bed next to the bumper, so when they lie down the bumper is between the user's arms and hips.
