General Details
- Caution
It is recommended by the manufacturer that the user should not walk when using the heel protectors.
- Extra product information
The protectors are made from latex-free flexible stretch weave fabric designed to fit comfortably and securely to the heel or elbow area without causing a source of pressure. The stretch material extends between the padded section to form a complete tubular garment. The protectors also provide warmth without restricting blood circulation.
Models are available with either a foam padded section designed to protect against shear and friction forces, or a gel padded section designed to reduce interface pressure.
Both models are available in small, medium, large and extra large sizes.
- Method of Use
- Ensure the skin area to be covered by the protector is free of any open wound or pressure ulcer.
- Select the appropriate size for the user's heel or elbow.
- Slip the heel or elbow protector over the foot or arm and position the internal contoured pad over the area to be cushioned.
- The protector should fit snugly on the limb. If it appears to be too tight or loose, choose the next most appropriate size to ensure user's comfort.- Cleaning Requirements
The heel and elbow protectors are machine washable to 70 degrees Celsius.
