A square, inflatable air cushion made of a matrix of polyurethane cells on a polyurethane base. The cushion comes with a removable two way stretch cover.

General Details

Cleaning Requirements

The cushion may be rinsed in mild soapy water. It can be drip dried or be towelled off.

All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation level), a different product may need to be considered.
The cushion can be punctured.
Ensure the cushion is correctly inflated at all times to the manufacturer's instructions.
The cushion is made of non toxic materials, however skin contact directly on the cushion may cause an allergic reaction to the skin.
The cushion is not flame resistant.

Extra product information

The cushion is made of nine cells wide and nine cells deep and has a single valve. The structure of the cushion allows the air to be displaced freely from cell to cell until an even fit is established for the natural shape of the body. Body weight is distributed equally around the entire skin area.

The cushion cover material on the top is two way stretch, and it has a slip resistant base. The sides have a mesh material to facilitate air circulation, with one way stretch. There is an opening at the corner to allow the valve stem to be exposed and it is closed with a zip.

The cushion comes with a pump, repair kit, operating instructions and a stretch, non slip cover included in the price.

Method of Use

Instructions for inflating cushion:
1) Twist cushion valve counter clockwise to open.
2) Attach silicone hose of pump to valve. Over inflate the cushion with
pump slightly.
3) Twist valve to close.
4) Sit on the cushion and insert a hand under the buttocks at the boniest
point. Open the valve slowly and begin to release the air.
5) Close the valve when there is at least fingertips distance
(approximately 1.25cm) between buttocks and the cushion. The
cushion will then be properly inflated for the user sitting on it.

Refer to the supplier and manufacturer manual for maintenance instructions and safety warnings.
