The platform is fitted with adjustable wheel chocks which provide a clear indicator as to where the scooter or wheelchair should stop when driving onto the platform. The platform is fitted with a 3-point securement system to ensure that the scooter or wheelchair is stable during lifting and lowering and also during transit.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum vehicle dimensions requirements as follows:
- 1020mm floor to ceiling/cargo opening
- 1120mm inside edge of door sill to closest row of seats
- 100mm maximum sill height
- 690mm maximum ground to floor of van height
- 1120mm minimum between wheel housings and/or width of cargo opening
- 330mm maximum inside edge of door sill to outside edge of bumper

Caution
The lifter should not be used with an occupant sitting in the scooter or wheelchair. It is not legal for a user to remain seated in the scooter or powered wheelchair whilst in transit. The user must transfer to a seat in the vehicle for all travel.
Extra product information
The lifter has a drive on, drive off platform which is self levelling up to 5 degrees. The platform can be manually adjusted in angle to allow loading on uneven surfaces. The carriage (mechanical unit) of the lifter is mounted to the floor at the inside rear of the vehicle.

Controls are a hand held unit with one button operation and an on/off switch.
Safety Features include a safety plate obstruction sensor. The lifter will stop lifting or lowering if an object is obstructing the lifting area.
Operation is fully automatic and the lifter has an independent power supply. The horizontal and vertical speeds are adjustable. A manual back up system can be used in the event of power failure.

Method of Use
1. Using the hand held controller, press the switch to lower the platform
2. Drive or push the scooter or powered wheelchair onto the platform
3. Secure the scooter or powered wheelchair using the webbing straps
4. Press the switch on the hand held controller to raise the platform
Licensing and Insurance Requirements
You are legally required to advise your State licensing authority of any medical condition or disability that may impact on your driving. If not, you risk fines or legal action and your car insurance can be affected. You may need to provide medical reports or undergo driving tests. Modifications to your vehicle must be in line with the Australian safety and design rules. Fitting of wheelchair occupant restraints, child restraints and vehicle hoist ramps must meet relevant Australian Standards. Modifications should be done by suitably qualified vehicle modifiers. You will also need to inform your car insurer of any vehicle modifications. Your policy may become void if you do not do so. Contact the vehicle licensing / registration authority in your State for more information.
